I'm right in there with you. I have also hired an insurance biller, and it
has been a learning experience for both of us. What I learned after my first
negotiation with an HMO: don't ask for what you are willing to settle for,
because they are always going to ask for less. Second thing: doctors have
more power to push things through and get approval than we do.  :-)  I'd
love to discuss this more.
