Right, Artficial Infant Milk. I stopped saying formula here cause it is so
culturally accepted that it sounds innocuous, and I don't use 'ABM' ( baby
milk) so as not to get confused, or link it in any way with the Academy for
Breastfeeding Medicine. When parents are in delicate straights, I do say
formula, since the word artificial is sometime more than they can handle at
the moment, and sometimes it is me having to convince them they might have
to use it temporarily, if baby is really in need of calories, and mom has not
been pumping for some reason, or not getting adequate amounts even with
pumping.
