Well I wouldn't have a fit, but I'd gently explain (difference in PNPs and
Drs - we explain more:-)  that babies need the iron.  Breastmilk alone is
adequate, but as soon as you add an exogenous source of iron (such as a
supp or cereal) the iron in breastmilk  isn't as available, so baby needs
another source.  I'd probably just say use reg formula for supp (or explore
possibility of banked milk) and give baby vits in another month or so (my
prejudice-I don't like to give vit solution to very newborns and vits with
fluoride are not before 6 mo).  Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
