This has been discussed a few years ago. Apparently the cornea has more
fluid in it during lactation and the mother's vision is somewhat different.
This was corroborated by several lactnetters. So if the correction is made
on such an eye, it may not be properly corrected for when she is not
nursing.

She should wait until she has weaned before having the surgery. And she
should nurse many years.
