Hi, folks. I was on Lactnet in its early years, but haven't been on for the
last couple, so I will introduce. I'm a former NICU nurse, former LLL
Leader, IBCLC since 1989, and have worked as a hospital-based LC for 9 years
now. I have 17 and 20 year old daughters, a 13 year old son, and a library
administrator for a husband. I have hopes that my hospital will become
Baby-Friendly before I retire or die, but I am not holding my breath. I do,
however, remind myself that I am luckier than most because our relationship
with the docs is good, and after 9 years I get my way almost all the time.
:-) We have good BF policies (that are not always followed), 6 day a week
lactation coverage, twice a week mother's support group, and excellent
follow-up support for lactation. I share the LC role with two other IBCLC's.
It's nice to be back on Lactnet; now let's see if I can keep up!

Becky Krumwiede, RN, IBCLC
Appleton, Wisconsin
