We are allowed to take a *personal* stance against whatever we want.
We can't wear our "LLL hat" when doing so though. I participate
quite regularly with ProMom writing letters and petitioning the
governement. I boycott openly and (according to my dh) loudly
against many AIM manufacturers. My daughters (ages 8 and 5) will say
things like, "Ewww, that stuff's made by N*stl* They try to poison
babies." It has started many conversations in the middle of the
grocery store.
We walk a thin line, especially if you are well known in the
community and at times it is is tricky to keep activism seperate from
LLL. I'm thankful that I finally have an avenue through ProMom where
I can be more proactive about breastfeeding.
