Carol Brussel asked about homeopathic medicines:

"i would
truly like to hear more of how people use these in their practices.
especially in areas not in "la la land" (nickname for boulder), how do
you
explain them and what do you say in doctor's reports?"

My personal way of doing this is to refer them to some good books on the
subject. I will also give them the name of a homeopath/ MD in our area.
It is up to them, then to use homeopathy or not. I am very careful not
to be in a situation of "prescribing" and I never give out the remedy
myself.

PS. I know homeopathy works, and the fact that there are some illnesses
are better treated by allopathy does not discount that. People should do
exactly as you say, self treat to the point they feel safe and then seek
professional advice if they are unsuccessful! Starting with a benign
homeopathic and working up to an allopathic makes total sense to me. One
day, when bacteria no longer respond to allopathics (seems closer than
we'd like to admit) it will make sense to everyone else as well.
