Dear Nikki and other lactnetters,

A friend of mine (breastfeeding counselor) had a wonderfull experience with
remidial bathing, though not intended!. She is a mother of 4, last one weaned
months ago and got a foster-baby to care for (via child protection agency).
Birth nom and dad heroine addicts, baby born addicted and hospitlised to get
off. Baby was app. 7-8 weeks when brought into foster family. Foster mom did not
prepare to breastfeed, for she did not know 1) how child protection would react
and 2) because she did not know how long the baby would be ''hers''. In the
foster family co-bathing is normal and so she took the foster baby (7-8 weeks
old!) in the tub with her. The baby relaxed, crawled to foster mom's breasts,
latched and nursed as if she never done anything else. Isn't that just great!
(Mom agreed to share her experience with others for educational purposes.)
