I already emailed Debbie a private reply, but since Chris H-E reminded on
list that pumping for a 15 mo is usually not needed, I would like to share
my story shortly.
I was thrilled to read about Debbie's mom who pumps for a 15 mo, since I
too pump for my 15 mo. My child has a cmp, egg and fish
intolerance/allergy, and since the symptoms stay away with my diet, I chose
dieting and pumping instead of trying to find an (unreasonably expensive)
special formula that he would tolerate. At daycare he drinks mommy's milk
:-) . Sure there are days when I am questioning all this pumping, and my
collagues at work probably think I am crazy, but so far this has been worth
it and the only real choice for us. I am happy with the way things are.
I told Debbie to tell her pumping mom that she is doing a great job for her
kid ;-) .
