Hello all, I've not been reading too much as back in fulltime work but am still checking out some extended nursing boards as a form of support while nursing my toddler. There has been a recent post on one from a mother in Ireland with a 17 month old with bad excema who has been told by an allergist to wean as her milk is now the main culprit for the toddlers allergies and he'll do better on a controlled diet and ... wait for it...hypoallergenic formula. While his excema sounds quite bad his growth seems fine (about the same as my 17 month old and he's on top of the charts!)She is vegetarian and has already eliminated a board spectrum of foods but is at her wits end at balancing her need for food and his allergies (he is anaphlaytic with dairy, eggs and peanut when he eats them himself) There are probably lots of issues here (she is also suspecting she might be pregnant again) but if anyone is working in Ireland whose e-mail I could forward her I'd really appreciate it.(I'll post mine on the baord and ask her to request yours thru private email) She has Dr Jacks email already Also any thoughts she could take to the specialist. I've asked about other environemental factors. If you could email me at [log in to unmask] (my work) I'd appreciate it.
