Now that's interesting.

In the UK , follow on is not allowed to be marketed before the age of
six months.

I know that it was (may still be) sold in Germany for four months and upwards.

Presumably we are talking about the same stuff here.

Follow on is especially important in the UK market because it falls
outside the law preventing direct advertising to mothers. So it is
*heavily* promoted, even on TV,  and with branding and packaging
being almost identical to regular formula,  it permits the
manufacturers to covertly promote their regular formulas too.
