You are right. Many times our clients place themselves totally in the
surgeon's hands thinking he knows everything. As one client told me:
"I was taught never to question a doctor's authority."
In Israel, many women have surgery around the time they enter the army
and are self-conscious about their looks (fitting into uniform, becoming
sexually active, wearing bathing suits etc.) How many 19 year olds even
think about breastfeeding? As most breast plastic surgery is elective,
the surgeons are doing a nice business. I doubt most of them give a fig
about a woman's future lactation. They want a nice cosmetic job to
secure their reputation and income and that's it.
