One of my first suggestions is using a variety of relaxation techniques, but always trying to include massage by partner, friend or professsional. I will even do a neck and shoulder light massage if the woman agrees. It is really amazing how the power of touch works to relieve anxiety. Keeping the baby skin to skin for several hours a day works too. It amazes me how many moms want to go put the baby "down for a nap" at every opportunity when the child is only a few days old. Good luck.
