Dear Anna,
I worked with a mom awhile back who was on three caps/3 times daily of
fenugreek and c/o headache. I suggested to her to d/c fenugreek because it
could cause hypoglycemia (according to Hale, in high doses). She did and the
headache ceased-she stated it was quite severe. If I recall she'd not been
on it that long, a few days, maybe, and perhaps it was coincidence but she
did not restart it. The only case I've had like this but I always let moms
know about this potential SE (side effect) so they're aware; that and not to
take if allergic to ragweed which I learned from one of our Lactnet
herbalists-thanks! Maybe she could try blessed thistle.
