Happy Mother's Day to all you moms. I have a very quick question and am
hoping that someone can lead me in the right direction. A co-worker has
not lactated in 12 months and her milk has come in full force. She has
become engorged,(treating with the normal has helped), now she is just
leaking what she says is milk. She has had a prolactin level drawn of 4
but no other tests. She is currently trying to change physicians. I am
looking through my Ruth Lawrence and K. Auerbach books and can not put
my finger on anything yet-still searching. I have given her a lot of
possibilities for her physician to check. Is this just a weird
occurrence or have any of you seen this before.
Thank you in advance,
Mary Beth Collins, RNIBCLC
