I have a Mom just dx'd with Lupus, APS, and also has a Pituitary Adenoma.
They are watching the adenoma, and she has been prescribed Midrin
(Isometheptene Mucate), for the headaches associated with the APS, 1 cap no
more than 3x wk. Her baby is 5 1/2 mos old weighs about 15 1/2 lbs. I looked
in up in Dr. Hale's book, but it states it is probably not a good choice for
breastfeeding mothers. Her Dr. specifically wants her to use Midrin. Her
pediatrcian is very supportive, has Dr. Hale's book as well, but would like
more info if she is to breastfeed on the Midrin. Such a small amount seems
unlikely to harm an older baby, but I thought I better check with the experts!
Thanking ya'll in advance.
