Hi Lactnetters,
I have been asked to post this for a large Texas hospital. They would like to
have the option of offering cabbage leaves to their patients when heat, cold,
pumping, etc., fail to relieve the discomfort of engorgement. The infection
control committee wants to see policies and any other infection issues before
they will approve this. They deal with a large percentage of level three
infants. Anyone have any policies regarding cabbage use?? Any info on
infection related to cabbage use?
Thanks, Denise G Hewson RN IBCLC Katy, Texas
