When I moved to Switzerland I learned to cook in grams and sew in
centimeters.  It is so easy.  I agree with the above wholeheartedly.  I am
sure that many of the LC's continually do conversion gymnastics with the
grams/ounces and kilo/pounds thing.  I just don't understand why the USA
holds on to our  "outdated" system. Surely we are not too dumb.  Too lazy? 
To expensive?  Just wondering out loud.
