In answer to your question, of the two babies from my *vast* experience,
the first nursed and gained well (he was a huge baby) for over three
years.  He is now 7 1/2 years old and speaks very well.  The second is
just two months old, but continuing to do very well at the breast.

Perhaps others have some experience to share.
