Has anyone heard of the father of a baby being encouraged to suckle the baby
soon after the delivery if the mother is unable?
This was suggested to a father at a neighboring hospital by a family practice
physician as a way for the father to bond with the infant. The mother had a
c/section and did not feel able to nurse at that time. Has anyone seen any
research to support this suggestion? Any pysch. journals perhaps?
