Diane, what an excellent comment-- I think you are quite likely right! I've
been stewing all over this stuff and remembering going to the pediatrician
at 6-7-8-9 mos, and being asked how often baby fed. I had no idea, because
it wasn't just 4 times a day. Even at 12 months I couldn't tell you readily.
And they all weaned (mostly due to subsequent pregnancies) between 18 and 27
mos.
