It seems that if little girls are exposed at all to commercial tv they will
pick up on the fact that baby dolls have bottles.  When my first daughter
was a toddler she would fashion a "bottle" out of duplo blocks (larger
version of Legos, and "feed" her baby doll.  Of course she also had a sling
for her doll and would pretend to nurse it, too.
