I would hazard a guess that parents of BF babies are more "in tune" with
their babies and recognize the typical stretch for independence that begins
around 15-18 mo. and are calling it "fussy, demanding" and many
bottlefeeding parents just give a bottle or paci to hang on to and don't
even see this stage. We all "know" that the very dependent BF baby becomes
the very independent toddler :-) and is smarter too :-) A smart,
independent little person is probably more difficult to deal with from a
parent's point of view. And of course we all are acquainted with the
opposite, clingy little person "who will never let go, unless you stop
