In 1984, at the age of 27, I had a little girl. Nursing came so naturally,
no help, no family or friends around, for we were in Germany.
I used to be amused by the fact that everytime, for I don't know how long,
my daughter would let go as soon as I my milk let down, and let it spray her
in the face. She would just back off, look up, and turn her head slowly
back and forth getting a little shower of droplets all over her. I never
(at that time) knew why she would do that, so always had a cloth diaper with
me to catch the spray, didn't want her (and me) soaked all of the time.
With my son, 10 years later, he would just gulp, and then projectile spit up
all over me, the third just fussed while the milk let down and nursed when
it slowed.
(And how many of you have speckled headboards? LOL)
Remembering,
Cheryl
