I am working with a mom of a six-month old who has a white "spot" on her nipple and has a back-up of milk (two lumps). She took off the skin that formed the white spot and got some clear fluid out, nursed the baby and felt some relief, but the white skin came back. She has tried warm compresses and super-nursing on that side and even repeatedly opening up the skin, but after a month, it is still coming back and she is getting plugged ducts (no fever).

She saw a doctor who sent her for an mammogram and they found nothing. Baby is gaining fine and the mom had no problems (no soreness, nothing!) until a month ago when this started.

Has anyone had any experience with nipple white spots or skin that kept coming back?
