Thanks again to all of you who were so helpful with my 2 wk old boy with
horrible wt gain.  I saw the mom in office on a thursday and shared with the
ped that I felt, based on advice and reading from Lactnet!, that he needed to
be clipped.  Ped was very supportive!!!  I found a surgeon who was willing
but reluctant to see this pt on monday in office, he even prescheduled
clipping for 8 am on tuesday...BUT.  After the consult on monday, mom was
wary.  Appears surgeon would use anesthesia in OR and require overnight stay
AGGGGGGHHHH!   So mom felt that this was too much to put little guy through
and would just bottle feed.  BOO HOO.  I did support mom because she hung in
there longer than most, but inside felt like we stopped 100 yards short of
the finish line after running a 5 K run.  Oh well, better luck next time.
