If her bottom is THAT sore perhaps the hem. have thrombosed (formed
clots). In that case, she should see a colo-rectal specialist who can
"tie them off" or make an incision to excise the clot. She can take a
look at them and if they are pink, probably not thrombosed, but if they
are dark red or purple and firm to touch, probably are thrombosed and
will benefit from excision. A doctor has done it for me.........it is
kind of embarrassing, but he was a saint! I told him I felt like I was
in the story about the mouse who removed a splinter from the lion's paw;
a kindness the lion never forgot!
On the same topic, the tool used by 3 FP docs I work with to clip a
tight frenulum was designed to isolate hemorrhoids!
