How right is this! I remember in my early days as a LLL Leader 2 mothers with
babies of about 6 weeks came in. My co-leader was nursing a toddler at that very
moment. We saw those 2 moms freeze and look like they saw something very
disgusting. After the meeting we agreed that we wouldn't see those 2 ever again.
Well, one indeed never returned, but the other kept coming for months and
returned with (if I recall well) 3 subsequent children. Later she told us of
this first time. She was really shocked, she said, to see a nursling with shoes
peeping out under his mom's sweatshirt. She then thought she'd never ever do
such a horrible thing herself - but she breastfed alll her children well into
toddlerhood.
