"100 milligrams" a small dose ????? sounds huge to me, we give 100 micrograms, with the initial epidural block and only occasionally more with topups.
I agree with Rachel, at the hospital where I work we have a high LSCS rate (30%), and a high epidural rate BUT a high breastfeeding rate too.
