Hi all, I'm sorry I'm behind in my posts... I don't know how I'll ever
catch up and stay that way...
Anyway, about bed rest and Catherine Watson Genna's comments:
" I wonder if mom's movement as she goes about her life helps the fetus
develop kinesthesia (where is my body in space), proprioception (how are
my muscles stretched), and sensory integration (how does this all go
together)... "
I've heard this too (of course I don't remember where) and remember also
being told that spending time in a rocking chair can help with this while
you're on bed rest. I would be suprised if this type of sensory deprivation
(bed rest) didn't affect the development of the fetus.
