Elisheva - thanks for your reply. What a dream of a mom you must be to
work with postpartum, if you immediately seen the *sense* of resolving
engorgement asap and keeping the breasts drained well until everything calms
down! Your additional suggestions and rationalization are excellent. I
like your positive tone. Sorry, just occasionally I have worked with
mothers who *don't* keep up the drainage, who allow the breasts to become
more and more engorged because other things just seem more important
(entertaining visitors, sleeping, letting the baby sleep) and lactation
fails, of course, while I just observe helplessly from the sidelines. I
find it so maddenning. So I get a little verbal about it as a preventive
measure now ...
