Subject: Reference cited
Probably more than a year ago I mentioned a fact that every teaspoon of human milk contains about 3 million living germ-killing cells. Some of you asked for the reference, which has finally surfaced. In addition, colostrum, which I compare to frozen orange juice concentrate before the water is added, has up to 21 million living cells! The reference for this awesome information is pg 62 of Pryor, K. and Pryor, G., 1991. Nursing Your Baby. Simon & Schuster Inc., New York.
