We have the same situation here, Annelies. They pride themselves on saying
'breast is best' and 'feed your baby when he asks' and not 'give a
bottle'.....but they cannot recognise when the mother needs good
information to increase her milk supply. It is frightening, and we have
had a number of cases locally, according to our local head of children's
nursing, when babies have been readmitted to hospital with dehydration. Of
course then bf gets blamed....not the terrible information the mother has
had.
