Celiac disease in the mother is no contraindication for breastfeeding. In my experience it has not been a problem for mothers either. Celiac disease rarely manifests itself before the person is exposed to gluten, which is absent from breastmilk.
There is some evidence that continuing breastfeeding while introducing gluten-containing foods can protect against the development of celiac disease, or at least against the symptoms.
If a child turns out to have celiac disease and has not been weaned, there is no better gift the mother can give than to continue breastfeeding as long as possible, because breastmilk is a safe food for celiac patients.
