Mothers are protected under state law in Texas. They may breastfeed
anywhere (with few exceptions like high security areas where they aren't
allowed to be anyway). The legislation also encourages employers to support
breastfeeding mothers in the workplace because of the compelling public
health benefits to society. If Lanell will connect with the people at Mom's
Place (the WIC breastfeeding clinic -- see Yellow Pages under "B" for
Breastfeeding) they will be able to tell her the details (the title and
number of the pertinent legislation). I am on my way out the door and don't
have time to look it up.
