I know you will all groan again, its us Brits still at it :-D
Looking at my 2nd Edition of 'Successful Breastfeeding'' Royal College of
Midwives book, Chapter 5, titled - 'Factors which have been shown to be
unhelpful', I found the following:
Culley P, Milan P, Roginski C, Waterhouse J, Wood B 1979 Are breastfed Babies
Still Getting a Raw Deal in Hospital? BMJ 2: 891-893
Whitfield MF, Kay R, Stevens S 1981 Validity of Routine Test Weighing as
Measure of the Intake of Breastfed Infants. Archives of Diseases in
Childhood 56: 919-921
Drewett RF, Woolridge MW, Greasley V et al 1984 Evaluating Breastmilk Intake
by Test Weighing: A Portable Electronic Balance Suitable for Community and
Field Studies. Early Human Development 10: 123-126
I have an idea that there may have been a 3rd Edition of 'Successful
Breastfeeding' RCM, if that is so, maybe there are more recent papers listed
therein.
kindest regards, Helen Woodman, NCT Breastfeeding Counsellor, Storrington,
West Sussex, UK.
