In response to kathy detwyller, that yes i still aagree that hiv moms need
to nurse and dtreat thier milk.
the only other advantage is convienence to mom. well lov ya, but the only
convenience is that you can leave he baby with someone else and forget your
responsibilities. I see no conveniece in measuring formula (to the exact)
boiling water, cooling water, mixing formula, then warming formula, washing
bottles, nipples, boiling, them drying them then feed the baby. Sorry iam
too lazy to bottle feed. Put the baby to breast and let me rest or whatever.
well for give the mom who gives the bottle out of the fridge.
I realize adults do not seem to forget the responsibility , but many teen
moms do-t least here an let grandma raise the baby, or just bottle prop and
leave. no warm arms just a bucket or bed.

I remember clearly and i have stated this before on this forum that 2 years
ago now. we had a mom( not a teen mom- adult) prop the baby's bottle and
leave him in his room. she returned a few minutes later and the nipple had
come apart in the babies mouth. The baby aspirated the nipple end and the
milk. She took him to the hospital , only 2 blocks away. The er doc worked
on him for 20 minutes. No one could revive the baby. He was about 6 weeks
old. The doc said it could have all been avoided if she had bottle fed.

Yes there are times when mom may need to give the bottle, but bottle feeding
convenient= no way
