Hi Allison,
The few sentences I've pasted below from your original e-mail make me
wondering the following. It could look like a decreased milk supply due to
the tongue-tie combined with the shield use, although this child is already
8 months old. One should expect to see a dwindling milksupply sooner.
It is often seen that milk supply is ok in the beginning, but when the baby
grows it diminishes.

she also has a video available that shows complete management including
frenotomy.
I have no financial interest in this video, but in my opinion it is great
in showing healthworkers the need of doing (or not doing) a frenotomy when
breastfeeding is involved.
