Unfortunately I guess we have to agree to disagree. I have taken your
statement as a personal attack on the quality of LLL Leaders and feel the
need to respond.  I think MOST (granted not all) women who join LLL do so
because they came to a meeting and received support AND were solicited to
join.  I think close to ALL women who attend meetings are comfortable
enough to ask questions of their leader.  AND I think MOST (surely the
majority) leaders are qualified and up-to-date in their information.  It
isn't that easy to become a leader you know (or maybe you don't).  Most
are great at communication and though they may not have the "information
at the top of their heads" they certainly know where to go for it.  I
don't think any of us always has the information at the top of their
heads...I freely admit I don't.   I am a long time LLL leader, I have
seen leaders come and go and I feel ability of the average LLL leader to
help another mother is uncomparable.
