I am in the process of taking over a competitor's hives. Of his over 100 hives there are only about 20 still alive (He was a little late treating). I visited the last yard today and there was a neat row of 20 hives. Of the 20 there was only one alive. Three of the hives had full supers of honey on them. I opened the one live hive and it was overflowing with bees and guess what else? Three Apistan strips So much for developing natural resistance to Varroa. Mark Jensen [log in to unmask]
