I thought they made one where the size of the holes is such that SHB cannot get in.  

Why are they adding fondant to banking cages?  When we did it we did not use any fondant (or candy).  Just a system where we had gauze over the front and the size definitely was such that SHB could not get in.  We based on practices on some research by Don Nelson, way back, where he found the larger the size of gauze the less likely that the queen would lose feet etc.  We reckoned this meant that less damage to the queen meant better acceptance and less supersedure when introduced to colonies.
