But when responding to a BEE-L post, the easiest way I have found for my mailer to offer for editing everything that will be sent to the moderator, is Ctrl-A Ctrl-A is the keyboard shortcut for "Select All". In gmail, Ctrl-A shows everything that will be included in your submission. Standard editing protocol is used thereafter. Problems with "cross-mailer control characters" can be solved by reverting to the common denominator across all mailers, Text only! There is a last resort trick I sometimes resort to when I have a particularly vexing formatting puzzle: "Ctrl-A" to select all, "Ctrl-X" to cut everything to my clipboard. Open up Notepad (yes, *Notepad*, remember text only), "Ctrl-P" to paste everything into Notepad, and edit everything in Notepad. When I have everything as I want in in Notepad, "Ctrl-A", "Ctrl-C" to select everything and copy to my clipboard, go back to my mailer and "Ctrl-P" to paste everything into my mailer, and "Send". Cumbersome at first, but second nature after practice.
