Many scientists currently present well based arguments that our concept of Integrated
Pest Management (IPM) should be extended to the practice of Integrated Pest and
Pollinator Management (IPPM). We can no longer ignore pollinator health. For the
health of future generations, we need to ensure the survival and improved health of these
keystone organisms. Towards this end, I believe that RNAi has great potential in being a
critical part of our arsenal against pests and pathogens and an essential part of IPPM.
I also advocate for implementation of a strong risk assessment process for this technology.

Sincerely,
Dr. Diana L. Cox-Foster
