We have plenty of Bombus in my area, and early Bombus vos. queens are 
already foraging and beginning to start brood nests for the year.  From 
what I understand, the predominant Bombus species near me has shifted 
from what it used to be.  Some studies indicate a decline in some 
species of bumblebees but do not include the fact that other bumblebee 
species have already filled the niche in many places.
