Do any beekeepers on the Bee-L treat their packages before they are installed, with powered sugar or oxalic drip? Most beek's are anxious to hive their newly arrived packages, and worry about treating later. I think it would be better to treat while they are broodless and clustered, as all packages are. I have seen this in a German video on 'shook' swarms. They were laid on their sides for 24 hours to get a mite drop. Sounds like a great plan to me. ****************************************************** * Full guidelines for BEE-L posting are at: * * http://www.honeybeeworld.com/bee-l/guidelines.htm * ******************************************************
