Last time I checked the good books, floral nectar was a bit more than 
a bunch of sugars... ;-)  One reason, I like using my own honey only.

I feed in the spring very spraringly - only if the weather stayed bad 
for a long time which is not often - and let the bees build up on the 
natural flow.  But I know at least one beekeeper who feeds with 
abandon and then brags about tons of lily-white *honey*.  Thanks but 
no thanks.
