Hello all

Has anyone any experience or knowledge of getting bees to live inside a
perspex container - in addition, getting them to climb up to a roof? I
tried the other day and my swarm did not appear to want to leave their
cardboard box and climb up the perspex to the roof. I can think of other
ways to get them in, including mounting a frame of larvae on the roof
and offering the swarm box up to the starter frame. However, that leaves
the question of their comfort on perspex - maybe it out-gassed and they
find it unpleasant. I did not give them proper ventilation until later
and that might have caused problems. Now housed in a hive, the queen is
laying well and they are behaving normally so there was no problem with
the swarm.

Help?
