Walter,
I always blame myself for what goes wrong in my outfit and then I do try to figure out what I did wrong and if nothing comes to mind I look for what natural cause could be to blame, if diseases or pests don't stick out as obvious.

When it comes to the good things I feel fortunate, but don't go around patting myself on the back. I had a 100lb average a number of years ago and can't tell you why to this day. I'm just grateful.

If low levels of chemicals in beeswax are making it hard for bees to raise viable brood, how much comb can one replace in a two story hive each year? Right now I probably don't even replace half a comb annually on average.
