the Equator than most of us, Geoff. Also bees do nothing invariably. In 
the first few days of this year I opened a hive to treat them with 
oxalic acid, expecting them to be more or less broodless.  I was 
surprised that, not only was there plenty of brood but some of it was 
drone!

It's a good point though and so, if/when we share data following winter 
measurements we should say where we are located.
