I agree with your stance on education. Both of us have been Apiary Inspectors and we both have done what we could as Inspectors to educate. Even though that was not our job. And I was told not to tell beekeepers how to do anything or advise them on management.

I don't know how much good it did, but I did go to one local bee club meeting and speak on AFB on the theme of "Hi, my name is Mark and I have Foulbrood." And then gave a talk about AFB, what it looks like, how to find it, etc. Something which NY Bee Wellness does so much better than I could ever do. A good reason to support NY Bee Wellness.
